While many lose themselves in translation, I find myself living there.
From my first trip abroad, I caught the ‘wanderlust’ gene; a strong desire to travel and explore the world. I love going to a place and making friends out of strangers and a home out of a foreign place. I realized that pictures can barely do justice the actual sites and I want to see it all in person.
I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.
A recent college grad, my first big girl job is teaching English abroad in Spain. Tough life, I know. Even tougher when I found out I would only be working Monday through Thursday. *sigh* What will I do with myself on three day weekends? The sights, the history, the food, the drinks, I’m excited to see and experience it all.
and cue this blog: I hope this blog will help others seek comfort planning for trips abroad because there should be no shame googling “do they wear skinny jeans in Spain” or “what the heck is an apostille”. But mostly this blog will be entertainment. Something will have to serve as the manuscript for my telenovela life story where Sofia Vergara will play a slightly older version of me.
Gracias to all my family and friends for encouraging me to make my dreams a reality. You all are the real MVP.
